Journey.

INTRSCT, my how you have us wrapped around your little finger.

Most of you know that when you ask us (particularly Adrienne) how we are doing, you will hear us start our answer with, "Well, things with INTRSCT have been interesting..." or,"Why? Would you like to donate to INTRSCT?" and, "INTRSCT. I.N.T.R.S.C.T, spelled without the E's".

Ah, joy.

Truth be told, our lives really do tend to revolve around this ministry that we so heartily believe in and so readily advocate. We have been through some trying times this past year and it if we were to bookmark a significant chapter of growth and change for us, it would be INTRSCT.

By God allowing us to participate in this part of his kingdom, we have consequently grown closer together in prayer, in passion and in purpose. I have seen Jordan's strategic mind find alternative solutions and he has seen me wrestle with confidence; claiming it and losing it over and over again. We have had to search our hearts both together and separately and cast questions before the Lord whether by fleece or by fear.

Ultimately, we have been invited into a unique journey that has touched not only our lives but the lives of many others. We stand behind INTRSCT (sink or swim!) because we have seen the Lord stand behind it. It is an expression of the gospel. In fact, during our latest board retreat we rewrote our mission and impact statements:

Mission Statement: To empower Young Adults to become agents of transformation by building relationships with Chicago Youth.

By doing so, We seek to broaden worldviews, unleash potential, and encounter and become the hands and feet of Christ.

How can we not get behind this?

As we start up again in the fall we are fundraising to provide for two Urban Dwellers. 10 applicants so far - and we have a good idea of who we would like to ask us to join. Please pray for us as we journey on and we will be sure to keep you posted.

Go team.
JAB
